EKITI-STATE SET TO HOSTS MISS NIGERIA INTERNATIONAL PAGEANT SHOW IN OCTOBER 2022.


This announcement was made on recently  in Ado-Ekiti by the Chief Executive Officer of Brendance & Crusader Limited, the organizers of the show, Mr. Brendan Nsikak while addressing journalists after a meeting with the Management of the Ekiti State Ministry of Arts, Culture and Tourism.


The Ekiti State Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Tourism, Prof. Rasaki Bakare, who also spoke in Ado Ekiti while hosting the organizers of Mr and Miss Nigeria International contest, lauded them for counting Ekiti worthy of hosting the 11th edition of the event, which was the first time it would be held outside Lagos, also said on Monday that the 2022 Mr and Miss Nigeria International pageant billed to hold in Ekiti State in October would boost the state economy and expose Ekiti to more profitable investments. Bakare said that the pageant would not only develop youth’s potential but would boost the local economy due to human traffic as was witnessed during the 2021 National Festival of Arts and Culture held in the state.

Ekiti State has been announced as the next venue for one of the most popular beauty pageantry shows in the entertainment industry, Miss Nigeria International Beauty Pageantry Competition, Nsikak explained that the choice of Ekiti State was borne out of the consideration of the various efforts and achievements of Ekiti State Government in the development of arts and culture as well as promotion of tourism activities. He also revealed that Ekiti State remains one of the few States where tourism activities continue as a result of relatively low challenges of insecurity. He said the project, estimated to gulp over 60 Million Naira, would also serve as a boost to tourism in the State and ultimately impact the local economy. “We have held the preceding 10 editions in Lagos, but after reviewing our activities and we asked ourselves which state stood a chance of hosting this edition and we found Ekiti State as the only state that can launch Nigeria to international level going by their exploits in arts, culture and tourism”
