Photo Competition “Guides in Action” Guides in Action
Promoting Guiding with photographs of real tourist guides guiding. This is our President Sebastian’s wonderful brain wave!
So many promotion pictures are only of a site or landscape. These photos are only two dimensions. The Tourist Guide is the third dimension. We add the depth to anywhere we take guests. Rather than a stuffed dummy in a photo or a sidebar, the tourist guide is Guiding and this is the picture we need. This will help you promote yourself, your guiding business, you association and your destination.
The WFTGA wants to help you with this.
First, we will have a simple webinar to help with your photographic technic and some postproduction tips. Helga Sturzenegger International Trainer & Area Representative and James Saunders ExBo member will host this. Both have a passion and deep love of photography. The webinar will be shared on the web page to all if you are unable to make it.
Second, we will run a competition to see who has the best photos. We will award a prize for this too. We are working on a suitable prize. The judging will be done by Tourist Guides and announced in Japan at the Conference. This is just about photography.
This is all going to be phone camera based, this allows for everyone to join in in. We do not want photographic professionals in this but real Tourist Guides.
